My 95 Fort Taurus Wagon (3.0 Engine) is having idling trouble and can shut down randomly when the engine is hot usually during the hotest part of the day. The Idle control, PCV valve, and spark plugs have already been replaced. A partstore worker has told me that the fault is most likely be a 'J' shaped hose somewhere in the engine that is part of the fuel system. He tells me that it has degraded or is collapsing, but he can't recall the part name or number to be able to look it up, nor can I find the part either to bring it in. Can anyone tell me what this part is and where it is located?

Thereis a hose that goes to your egr connection off the backside of the intake. If this is like another I saw then it goes to the egr system. You will physically have to look at it and go to a ford dealer and see if then can get it.I just changed the connection piece as it was a 90 degree thing. You can take a can of chokel=cleaner an dshoot it around while the engine is running and find it as the rpm will change. While you are at it clean the throttle plateon both sides as well alot of times this creates an idle problelm.
