Follow the positive battery cable to the starter relay other big cable there goes straight to the starter motor-
WARNING: When servicing starter or performing any maintenance in area of starter, note heavy gauge input lead connected to starter solenoid is hot at all times.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then isolate cable end with electrical tape, or equivalent.
Remove air cleaner assembly, then air cleaner duct.
Remove upper starter motor retaining bolts.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove intake manifold support bracket retaining bolts and bracket.
Disconnect wiring from starter assembly.
Remove lower starter motor retaining bolt, then starter motor from vehicle.
Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
Install upper starter motor retaining bolts first.
Torque starter motor retaining bolts to 23-34 ft lb.
Torque starter solenoid B-terminal nut to 80-120 in lb.
Torque intake manifold support bracket retaining bolts to 28-38 ft lb.
