can u tell me if ther is a way to adjust the cable or were the adjustment is

You can get a cable with a theaded adjuster at the firewall. There are several brands, /steeda and Ford Motorsports are at the top of the list.
Try summitracing.com. You will find that they are around$50-$100 deoending on what setup you have.
