What is wrong with my car?

I have a 1995 Ford Laser and twice now I have gone to start my car and all the lights come on but it wont turn over. The first time this happened it took about 15 minutes before it started and the second time it took 1/2 an hour. Also sometimes when I go to start my car it sound like it is struggling to start.
