1995 Ford Bronco Tried Turn On Nothing Happened Lights Still Working Assumed

tried to turn bronco on. nothing happened the lights were still working so i assumed there was no dead battery. checked alternator by jumping truck and then removing positive battery cable truck stayed running. changed solenoid truck started on its own twice.now when i try to start engine i just get a single click nothing else??? could it be the starter or something else? how do i diagnose from here?

Try cleaning out the starter motor brushes and see what happens-Also go to this link: http://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-engine-will-not-crank-over
