My 1995 Dodge Stratus "supposedly" overheated, yesterday. The coolant wasn't boiling and it didn't sound/feel like it was overheating, but my temperature gauge was all the way on hot. Any ideas what it could be?

A faulty sending unit, bad ground circuit for the meter cluster or a faulty gauge..
