How do you get the steering wheel off, I have the cover off. Tried using rubber mallet but it won't budge.

REmove knee protector, upper and lower steering column covers. remove lap cooler duct and foot shower duct. remove key reminder switch, remove ignition switch. reverse for install.

According to the diagram the steering wheel is off, that is where I am stuck. I can not get the wheel off
