last week the head light switch went out or should I say fried. I do not know why but it did and apparently it is a common problem with this truck. So I replaced the old one with an aftermarket switch from Auto Zone. Disconnected the battery cut the old switch out matched all the wires up hook it up and the tail lights do not work. Reverse light break lights headlights all work. But the tail lights do not they did before even when the old switch broke but now they do not. I checked the fuses inside the cab all of those are okay. Not sure what is going on.

check the black yellow wire leading from headlight switch see if power is going to it , may not be that is the same color to all tail/parking lights, then check harness at rear taillights may be broken or a bad ground.
