She had the same intermittent starting problem --start, move gear shift to R or D, no go, wait 20 minutes --START! -- 2 1/2 years of this -- no problem could be found.

Last Fri. a mechanic said there was a short in the starter. Three have replaced it to date -- been towed twice. Last night, after a rest stop, I turned the key and saw a quick burst of all the colors on the dash lighting up the various icons -- oil, gas, etc. Then, NOTHING -- turned the key clicking at key contact, no sound, no dash icons, no engagement. The tow truck driver tried to jump it -- no juice. (The battery was replaced about 7 months ago. The transmission was replaced about 3 months ago.) AND the automatic door locks suddenly no longer work. The mechanic is clueless -- said they found a broken wire, but no solution. PLEASE HELP!
