My overdrive seems to be failing. The button on my shifter isnt doing anything though. If I "turn off" the overdrive the light doesnt come on. Am i wrong to think this is some sort of electrical problem? how can i fix this? I dont want to blow my transmission but i have to drive on the expressway everyday.

It does sound like an electrical issue. Has the check engine light come on? Is the trans fluid clean and full?

transmission fluid is full. I've been checking it often. Check engine light has not come on. Are there any fuses I can check or replace before I have to take it in?

If there is an issue with a fuse, it will be under the hood in the power distribution center.
