How do I test the two wire water temperature sensor near the thermostat?

Radiator fan does not turn on with the AC off, the car overheats. Only works with the AC on.

You would have to put it in a pot of boiling water with a temperture gauge or infred gauge, actually infra red gauge will give a pretty accurate reading by just pointing it next to the sensor. You would then check for continuity at the temperature that it is supposed to turn the fan on.
