Tranny?

When I shift it to forward position, it takes about 5 seconds for the first to shift in. Otherwise it shifts fine during driving. What might be the reason for that? Also when the the engine has warmed up thats when it does it.

The filter may be clogged in the pan. If it has been serviced, it may have a very hard seal in the front clutch drum delaying the application.

Hello I recently replaced the filter and the seal you are talking about where is that located?

Internal in the trans. The unit must be removed and dis assembled.

This is best left to a trans shop.

It may on the passenger side toward the back of the trans. I believe it is an FX trans. It has been a long time since I have done one of them

even if there is, it would not cause the issue. The modulator regulates shifting according to load.
