Does the engine reach normal operating temp? Are the heater hoses hot? Next, you may have to check temp door function, under the dash?

Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge ac system using proper recovery equipment. Drain coolant. Remove air cleaner hose and air distribution duct from engine. Disconnect heater hoses at dashboard, and plug heater inlet and outlet tubes. Use care not to spill coolant inside vehicle. Remove both a/c lines from expansion valve. Cap expansion valve and a/c line openings. Remove 3 nuts on engine side of firewall from studs projecting through firewall. Use screwdriver to pry off both instrument panel trim end caps and both interior door post kick panels. Remove right side instrument panel and radio center bezels. Remove radio and ac heater control panel. Pry center instrument panel bezel from panel. Remove center console from vehicle, if equipped.

As far as removing the heater core are you sure this is something you want to tackle? No offense, There is a lot more info left to post.
