why would the engine not run correctly after i changed out the oil pressure sensor?

i changed out the oil pressuer sensor today. would it couse a vacume leak if not seated properly? after changing the sensor it would start up then putt a couple of times then die when you get it up to 2500 rpms it wants to die. what would couse these problems?

No vacuum leaks from there. Check to make sure the wiring is in good condition. If it is, return the part and get another one to see if it was just bad.
