I have a 1995 Chevy Suburban, the windshield fogs up during the cold weather. when i turn the vent controller to windshield, very little air is coming out of the vents and a whistle sound is made. if i put it between the windshield vent and the floor/windshield vent a little more air comes through, but it takes forever to defog the windshield. Has Suburbans had this issue and if so how do i fix the problem?

What I need you to do is check for vacuum leaks under the dash. The air flow vents (which direct air) are actuated by vacuum. If there is a leak, things like this happen. The noise you hear could actually be the leak. See if you can identify where the sound is coming from and check for leaks there.

Let me know what you find.
