One of the gas lines that come out of the gas tank is not going to anything and has been caped off. Where would this line go? And is it safe to drive the truck? The lines to the throttle body are hooked up. And it starts and runs fine

If those lines are on top of gas tank, how did you spot it? If it is a hose, it might be part of evap system? I've seen stuff like that on older vehicles, I can't say that it is legal?
