How do I use a jumper wire to get diag. Code on 1995 Chevy Truck

Want to use a jumper wire to get engine code to tell me whats wrong

You can't do it on that truck. You can't even use and OBD2 code reader on that one. It's a transition year and it has an OBD2 connector with an OBD1 system. You need a professional scan tool for that one.

Connect terminals "A" and "B" together, then turn on the ignition switch. In every one I've ever seen, A and B will be right next to each other in one corner. One of the two pins will be missing in each of the other three corners of the plug.
