1995 Chevrolet Other Air conditioner

I have hooked my ac gauges to the unit and I see 45 psi on low side and about 50 psi on high side. What is the cause for high side pressure. It has a new compressor and a expansion valve

It sounds as if the refrigerant charge is low, do you know if the correct weight of refrigerant has been added, if unknown, check for any leaks, and do a recovery and check the weight recovered and compare with the correct charge required.
