1995 cavalier. Tranny wont move in reverse, but plenty of power in forward, even if you hold the brake hard. Has new 2.2 eng. Fluid level is good. Could this be a solenoid or modulator valve? Please hep I put a can of trans-medic in about 6 wks. Ago

May well be a stuck solenoid or a servo or a valve in the vale body, first do a scan to eliminate any electrical problems, a word of caution, holding the brakes on and reeving in gear is call a stall test, this will over heat the trans oil very quickly and if done to often can damage the trans and the torque converter.
