the temperature gauge on my 1995 chevy caprice that tell if the car is runing hot or cold always stays under the C is that normal?

no you may have a bad sending unit or the gauge canbe bad. take the wire to the coolantsensor and ground to the block to make sure you have the right one. if the gauge moves up then your sender is bad...
