1995 Chevrolet Blazer Shifter is stuck in netural

Truck has has tranny issues for awhile now it is stuck in netural but shifter still slides is just does not shift is cable broken or did the tranny finally go and and advice or suggestions will be great fully helpful thank you.

check to see if it's moving the lever on trans when you move it to drive. have an assistant do this with engine off. if it moves then it maybe low on fluid or another internal problem. if it doesn't move then it' sgot a cable problem
