My car is having bad issues with shifting, for a while it was just difficult to shift into second gear, then it was first - third now it drives first in neutral and nothing else works, any tips?

Take the shifter out and see if it is worn down and check to see if there is a bushing like in the picture as well as for a broken pin. Try to see if it shifts okay with a screwdriver if it does then its' a not a transmission problem. If it does not then the transmission has to come out to check for a broken/bent shift fork/synchros etc. There are two different transmissions in this car either a T5 or a T56 both are Borg Warners. I am assuming there is no clutch problem.
