95 STS Power Loss

95 Cadillac STS extreme power loss. Feels like it is climbing a hill towing a truck. Works hard with no results. Gets worse each day. Also has some surging at moderate throttle. Replaced EGR Valve and MAP Sensor. Could it be the Cat or Idle Air motor? How do I check?

Have you checked to see if you have any codes in the computer yet?You could have a plugged cat take it to a exhaust shop and have them do whats called a exhaust back pressure test.
