Car won't back up

My 1995 Cadillac transmission works perfect going forward, but when I put it in reverse nothing happens, it won't back up.This just started a few days ago, what could be wrong. It's an automatic transmission.

Since there is no electrical influence to reverse gear only, it is for certain an internal transmission concern. Possible causes are reverse servo, reverse band, reverse reaction drum.
