Should the interior of my drum brakes have a good deal of oil or brake fluid on them?

NO either leaking wheel cylinder or axle seal

well i dont think its gear oil ,i take it that its front wheel drive,it needs wheel cylinders its leaking break fluid.

It was the wheel cylinders, as I got the shoes off it was obvious, replacing them now. Thanks for the replies
