Book procedures requires the compressor to be removed, meaning the freon has to be discharged but if you are able to get the required space in engine compartment, you might not need to discharge.

After removal of the drive belt, disconnect the clutch wire, remove center bolt and clutch plate.
Remove snap ring you can take the pulley assy out to replace the bearing.
