What would cause my transmission to have a delayed shift intermittently? I know my MAF sensor is bad. Please advise

That could be related. Also, check transmission fluid and level. It may need an EGS chip update.

Do you know of a simple way to check the transmission fluid level, or any method in general to tell if it is low needing more? I have a 2004 525i so there is only engine oil dipstick.
