I have a 1995 318i with 213k mls that dies everytime I brake hard. the engine light comes on and i have to cycle trough the start up again to get it started, when it starts it runs real rough and I have to keep the engine idling high to keep it from dying again. after a while it seems to run fine if i don't do any hard braking and drive real gentle. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

The crankcase vent valve often presents with these issues. 11157501567 is the part number. If you go to Realoem.com and put in this part number you can see where it goes. It is mounted with 2 5mm Allen head screws, it is easy to get it loose from under the manifold.
