1994 Volvo 850 car stalls

Sometimes my car will start for a few seconds to a few minutes, then it stalls. This often happens when I've driven it for a few minutes, stop somewhere and then try to restart it. Often it will start but at a lower idle than usual, and then putt putt down to nothing in a few seconds. Sometimes it will sound at normal idle but then after moving it a bit in parking lot it and then will stall. In either case leaving it alone for 10 minutes and trying again almost always works fine. Other times I will have no problems at all. I do warm up my car if the engine is cold, and I just replaced the battery. Any ideas?
