Steering is tight

My steering is very tight, I took it in and they replaced the rack, it is still the same, they say I must go get a wheel alingement and it will be fixed, is this true or what must I do? Thanks

Wheel alignment isn't going to make it steer any easier in general. If this is a new symptom that wasn't there in the past, then you may have proglems in other areas such as the strut turn plates.
