1994 Toyota Pickup Audio problems

Are you sure everything is properly connected? Keep in mind, I have no idea what kind of radio you installed or the speakers. However, I know they all require a power source, a ground, and there are specific wires for each speaker.

I already checked the radio fuse and it is fine. The speakers are kicker 4" and the stereo is Sony

Ok what wires should I check I checked the fuses. The radio fuse is still good.

Does the radio turn on?

Not at all. theres an extra wire that went to the old radio but it won't go on to the new radio. That might be part of the problem. My old radio is a cassette tape my old one. There is the chord that connects to the radio so I can listen to the radio but then there's the chord that connects to the main part and then there's that little chord where I don't know where it goes.

If the radio isn't turning on at all, either you have no power to it, there is no ground, or the radio itself is bad. Are you sure you have power and it is connected to the correct wire? Also, is there a ground anywhere?

I honestly don't know it came with a plug that goes into the stereo its self but attached to the plug there's about 7 to ten wires something like that. And they are different colors some stripped some not. I bought a chord that plugs into the truck and then that gas wires as well they are some of the same colors and have stripped colors as well. I used wire nuts and electrical tape to connect the wires thar are the same colors together but I must be doing something wrong. Some wires on both plugs don't match so I caped them and put them off to the side.

Do you have a volt meter or a test light? If so, see which wire is the power supply. Then, look at the wiring schematic that came with the radio and determine which wire is for power. Once you do that, let me know and we'll move on.

I wish I could help more, but I have no idea what radio you have, the wiring harness you have... Regardless, you need to first identify which wire from the car is a power supply then determine which wires are the car's speaker wires, and if there is a separate ground. Once that is done, you need to do the same with the radio. It should have come with a wiring schematic with the directions or maybe there is a label on the radio identifying which wire does what. Once all wires are identified, you need to connect them together. For example, the power supply from the car goes to the radio power wire, LF speaker wire goes to the LF speaker wire on the radio and so on...
