1994 Toyota 4runner 165000 miles V6 3.0 5 speed manual. The other day I was driving down the road when the check engine light, the parking break light, and the battery light all came on and the engine died. The truck didn't make any noises or do anything unusual before it died. It started right back up then died again within 5 mins. About an hour later I got it started and it ran fine for 15 mins then again the same lights came on and the engine died. I have replaced the fuel pump. Also I have cleaned the MAF sensor after which it ran for 30 mins then again died the same as before.

Start with a fuel pressure check. Check for spark when it dies.
The lights come on when it shuts off.
I would still check for codes.

If the lights came on before the engine stalled, have the charging system checked.

I just had the same problem with my runner a couple weeks ago for me it was a relay right behind the glovebox I smacked it with a screwdriver and it freed up the relay. Havent had the problem since then.
