mileage has dropped

Since the weather has turned cold, the mileage has dropped from 34 to 29 with my 1994 subaru Loyale. Any ideas? Any ideas regarding the falling mileage of my 94 Subaru loyale since the weather turned cold?

cold weather does use more gas and short trips make it worse.
