have a sl2 and have to hold the peddle to the floor just to keep it running at a idle. last week changed the fuel filter because it wouldnt keep running at all.

It sound's like a bad coolant temp sensor the bottom sensor with two wire's going to it.Also inspect the connector going to it if it's corroded you will have to replace the connector too.The sensor is only 10.
