My two sons jumpstarted my car and put cables on backwards now it keeps blowing in line fuse. Had alt. Check and its good can you tell me what it might be. Thanks

So what exact fuse is blowing?Also how was the alternator tested?

I did the same thing and I replaced the in-line fuse from the starter solnoid to the altenator with a 30 amp fuse and I had the altenator tested and it was ok. Put the car back together and it lasted about three hours and the fuse blew again. There has to be a short somewhere or a control module that shorted out. I looked for hours and it comes up the pcm. Can it be that and how to test to see if thats it

The only thing I have ever seen blow that fuse link is a bad alternator.
