Hello everyone.

I have a small issue with my probe. Recently I replaced the 3 pin connector on the distributor (old one was very beat up and I think it was giving me problems).

I soldered the new connector one wire at a time (not to mess up the order) and then started the engine. To my surprise, it ran very rough and then died on it's own. Went to see what caused it and I noticed I forgot to reconnect the 3 spark plug wires that go to the top of the distributor. Plugged them back in, and nothing, no spark.

I have an HEI mod done and the car run perfectly fine for 2 months with the HEI, so I guessed that the issue was the coil.

Readings I got:
Primary 0,8 ?
Secondary: 18,53 ?

Coil is getting 12V

Any tips you can give will be greatly appreciated, since I love this car and I don't want to scrap it.

I should add, before this happening I had a relatively weird issue that happened, it seems, at random.

When driving, the RPMs would go to 0 and the engine would stop working. I would pull over, and after waiting for something like 5-30 seconds, try to start the car again and it would start right up with no problems. I kind of concluded that this would happen when "idling" or not pressing the gas pedal (going down a hill, at a red light...)

As I said, I knew about the messed up 3 pin connector, so I thought this would be the issue.

This was happening before and after doing the HEI mod btw. I don't know if this helps my case.
