Front left axle came loose, spilled all the fluid, towed car to trans shop. They replaced inner axle, when I got car back it seemed to start out in 2nd gear and never go into overdrive (4th?) Could it be something is not plugged in? or a sensor? I haven't taken it back but would like to fix it myself if possible. Someone said the trans seems to be in "limp home" mode, something unplugged.

look around the trans for any connectors un plugged. i doubt thats the issue.

with the fluid loss, and you driving, i fear that it is an internal failure
