I have black smoke comming from tailpipe I have changed the mass air flow sensor, did a wire check, changed disribater cap and button, new spark plugs, wires. But when the sensor is pluged up it is running rich. When it is unpluged car runs fine. Any ideas on what I might have missed

You have a problem in the Mass Air Flow circuit but not necessarily the sensor itself. It could be any of the related wiring or the computer itself. It needs to be troubleshooted by a technician.
