How to do the timing

I have just redone the head gasket the car is now back together but won't start I think it may be the timing but I am not shore how to do it

Don't try to start it anymore until the timing is checked. It may be an interferance engine and head damage can occurr if it is out of time. I need to know the engine size.

The engine code would be the best indicator to get the required information.
