My transmision does not go in to drive I hold down the brake and it still does not work what do you think is wrong

You have a transmission problem -how's the fluid level and condition of fluid-if okay bring it in and get checked-

Do you mean the shift lever wont move? Or it acts like it's in neutral when it says drive?
