If I have spark in one will they all have spark? What coils? I pulled the old plugs and they were grimey with black sludge, could the injectors be just as bad or worse?

If it will not run when adding fuel there's a good chance your missing spark @ the plugs. The best way to check this is with a spark tester. To test the system you will neet some test equipment with out it you would be guessing and spending a lot of money that could have paid to have it checked. My advice is to check all fuses on the car and then have some one do a diagnostic test to pin point the problem.
