water getting into motor oil

i need help, water is some how getting into my car's engine, i know this because there's water in the motor oil, can someone give me a list of everything i need to check to find where its coming from? i was told it could be the freeze plug, i just don't know

When water gets into engine oil, the most common cause is a bad head gasket. If engine had previously overheate, that would confirm this.

One way to find out leaks is to get a pressure test done. For bad head gaskets, a test for presence of carbon in cooling system can be performed with chemicals which can be purchased from parts outlets.
