shifts hard out of first but if i back up a few feet it shift fine

shifts hard at 3000 rpms before shifting but once it shifts to high will shift normal till i turn it of or if i back up a few feet kind of fast then it will shift normally thanks

Is the check engine light coming on and when was last tune-up?

Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition if so and its good-check the transmission filter if okay-bring it in and have it pressure tested
