Why wont My car shift out of park?

there is a Shift Inter-Lock solenoid at the brake pedal (or at least it is activated when you step on the brakes). If this solenoid goes bad you will not be able to shift out of park. Check to see if your brake lights work. (often the shift inter-lock fuse and the brake light fuse are the same and if that fuse blows then you will not be able to shift out of park.
