Mazda mx6 1994 I was driving in the rain. I hit a puddle of water. All of a sudden my muffler sounded extremely loud and my Battery light came on. (I have a new battery) My speed odimer went crazy. My car lights went dim. My car finnally died. My Altinator belt is fine. Any Ideas?

Alternator could be fried or fuse blown and loud sound could mean cold water on hot exhaust manifold cracked it/broke it or somethin else related.
