The new headlight switch wont work

Old headlight switch works when its pushed in a little bit. But the tail lights and brake lights wont work when the head light switch is not pushed in a little bit

SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SWITCH

BEFORE YOU RUSH OUT AND GET ONE...MAKE SURE IT'S CONNECTIONS ARE GOOD (PLUGGED IN CORRECTLY)

THE SWITCH IS NOT A HIGH $$$ ITEM.....THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT MFGers WITH DIFFERENT PRICES---
