how do I get to the set of spark plugs up against the firewall on 94 lincon continental 3.8 liter..

You have to use your own iniative. Figure the best way to get your arm back there, from the top--sides, from underneath. Some vehicles, I don't know what I'm getting into, until I raise the hood and look. I don't know any tricks. I've heard some people say they rock the engine forward. I've never done that, never had to, so I can't recommend.
