When I start the car the car does shut of and it is when I let go of the key so if it happens when I let go of the key is it the ignition switch? How much do you think that would cost to have fixed I am tight with money rite now I just had a death in the family

My condolences-it sounds like the ignition switch has failed, as for the cost of repair it varies with location

OK IF I HOT WIRE THE CAR WILL IT START? AND IF SO HOW DO I DO THAT SO I CAN GET IT TO THE GARAGE FOR REPAIR I CANNOT AFFORD A TOW. THANK YOU
