1994 Gmc Jimmy Turn Key Nothing Happens Starts B4 Would Drag Really Bad Voltage

turn key and nothing happens. a few starts b4 it would drag really bad like no voltage but voltage was good. doesnt click or make any noise what so ever.

Use a digital multimeter across battery posts. Have helper turn key to crank. How much does the reading drop? If no drop, maybe open circuit to starter? Take voltage reading at the starter itself. When testing at the starter make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set.
