i have a steady clicking sound in the drives side of my geo,what can that be?

clicking is when the car is in motion but lessens as i slow down

Do you have mechanical mileage indicator that rolls as the vehicle is moving. On some makes and models, I've seen where the drive gears that operate the indicator gets hung-up and the clicking will drive you crazy. Might not be your problem, just a thought.
